A Possible Landscape
This current body of work began in 2017 and is an experimental approach to light painting. In it, I have created paper mobiles, lit and suspended, and photographed in motion, utilizing reflections, light stencils and light brushes, sometimes all together and always in one take. It matters to me that everything happens in one shot; I want these images to be the result of a unique series of events occurring during very short improvised performances presented for every individual take.
I aim to create accidental scenery, fortuitous still life, the unintentional tableau of an immaterial place that only exists through my lens.
